Budget-friendly Big Bend Backcountry approach.
We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 6:50 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners.
TLDR: Trust the cairns.
Would do again in a heartbeat.
