What you need to know before Big Bend Backcountry: We went Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage starting at 6:00 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Tread was dry and clear with a few loose rock corners. Would do again in a heartbeat.
