Big Bend Backcountry. 3-day.
Start: 6:25 AM. group of 2.
Route: Chisos Basin entry with East Rim side mileage.
Weather: Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace.
Trail: Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots.
Water: Water planning mattered most since natural sources were limited.
Crowds: moderate
Gear: Neoprene socks, Dry bag, Trekking poles
TLDR: Keep snacks accessible so breaks stay short and clean.
