Been doing Big Bend Backcountry for years. This time:
We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 6:00 AM. Dry air and steady sun meant layers changed fast after sunrise. Tread was dry and clear w/ a few loose rock corners.
Do your homework first.
