Went minimal on Big Bend Backcountry. Here is what made the cut. We went Outer Mountain Loop sections from the Chisos side starting at 5:10 AM. Wind on ridges was steady but never pushed us off pace. Route stayed obvious, with minor wash marks in low spots. Gear that worked: GPS, First aid, Paper map. Sun hoodie and bigger water carry were non-negotiable. Still thinking about this one.
