Last updated: 2026-10-06 --- The type of incident is Wildfire and involves the following unit(s) Angeles National Forest. --- State: California --- Coordinates: Latitude: 34° 33 43 Longitude: 118° 24 7 --- NOTE: All fire perimeters and points are approximations. --- Incident Overview: Summary: The Bouquet Fire was discovered October 3, 2026 at 2:16 p.m. near Bouquet Canyon Rd, south of Bouquet Reservoir. It is currently burning in chaparral and grass in an area with limited access and steep terrain. Bouquet Canyon Road is currently closed from Spunky Canyon to milepost 5.7.The Angeles National Forest has a temporary closure on Drinkwater OHV area and Rowher Flat OHV area due to high fire danger with elevated fire weather conditions and extreme heat warnings along with continued fire suppression activities from the Bouquet fire. Forest Service roads Saugus del Sur (6N18) and Quarry Road (6N19) are also closed.Last night's drone mission provided valuable information to firefighters, allowing them to target areas of residual heat. Containment has risen to 67%. Fire activity is minimal with some interior pockets continuing to smolder.Evacuation warning has been lifted for: LAC-E016, LAC-E017, LAC-E019, LAC-E020, LAC-E021, LAC-E029Evacuation Order has been lifted from: LAC-E018 and LAC-E031Evacuations: A shelter has opened at the Castaic Sports Complex Community Room located at 31230 Castaic Rd., Castaic, CA 91384, per the County of Los Angeles.
