Pad and group rules
A pad holds up to two tents and six people, and one booking can include up to two pads, so up to 12 people. BC Parks says that in peak season you must book a reservation to stay at campgrounds on the trail.
Fees and cancelling
BC Parks states the 2026 fees are not increasing. A $5 surcharge applies to a phone reservation. From 2027 a non-resident fee of $20 per person per trip applies to the Berg Lake Trail, which BC Parks' 2026 fee sheet says is not charged on it in 2026.
You can change a booking until noon on the arrival date for a $6 fee. You can cancel until 3 pm Pacific on arrival day for the Berg Lake Trail, and the cancellation fee is $6 when it produces a refund. Transaction fees are not refundable.
The trail reopened after restoration
BC Parks says the Berg Lake Trail reopened after four years of phased restoration. Snowbird Pass is closed from May 1 to July 1 each year. Check the Mount Robson Park page for current advisories.
