Last updated: 2026-10-04 --- The type of incident is Wildfire and involves the following unit(s) Angeles National Forest. --- State: California --- Coordinates: Latitude: 34° 33 43 Longitude: 118° 24 7 --- NOTE: All fire perimeters and points are approximations. --- Incident Overview: Summary: The Bouquet Fire was discovered yesterday at 2:16 p.m. near Bouquet Canyon Rd, south of Bouquet Reservoir. It is currently burning in chaparral and grass in an area with limited access and steep terrain. Bouquet Canyon Road is currently closed from Spunky Canyon to Vasquez Canyon.The southern edge of the fire, along Bouquet Canyon Road, was the most active portion of the fire today. Ground and aerial resources worked on cooling off the flare-ups and securing fireline. Total acreage continues to hold at just over 1,000 acres while containment is now at 48%. Evacuations: A shelter has opened at the Castaic Sports Complex Community Room located at 31230 Castaic Rd., Castaic, CA 91384, per the County of Los Angeles.
