✨ 2026 Season

Shenandoah Permits 2026

Day hiking the AT needs no permit. Overnight backpackers buy the standard backcountry permit since self-registration ended in 2024.

2026 Construction

The Old Rag parking lot is being rebuilt from May through fall 2026. Expect limited parking even with a ticket in hand.
