What to bring on Primitive Beach

Specific to this permit, not a generic camping list.

  • Bring

Your own shade. Primitive sites are not the shaded, tabled sites of the developed campgrounds

  • Bring

Plenty of drinking water for a southern Utah summer

  • Bring

A camp stove or grill, plus whatever fuel it takes. Do not count on a fire ring at a primitive site

  • Bring

    Sun protection

this is open reservoir shoreline at low desert elevation

  • Bring

A life jacket if you are on the water, or borrow one free from the visitor center

8 people can go on one permit. Split this list between them so nobody carries two stoves.
