How to Book New Jersey State Parks: Cancellations, Release Times and Alerts
You book a campsite on New Jersey State Parks yourself, at njportal.com. PermitSnag does not take reservations. When the dates you want are full, a PermitSnag alert checks New Jersey State Parks for cancellations and texts or emails you when one opens.
How New Jersey State Parks works
New Jersey State Parks, at njportal.com, is the booking system for campgrounds run by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, State Park Service. This page is PermitSnag's guide to booking on it, not the booking system itself; you'll reserve directly on njportal.com.
When cancellations show up
New Jersey State Parks opens its booking window on its own schedule, and njportal.com is the source for the exact date. What's constant is what happens after: sites fill, plans change, and cancellations go back onto the calendar. PermitSnag checks campgrounds here and texts or emails you the moment one opens up.
How a PermitSnag alert helps
A PermitSnag alert checks New Jersey State Parks on your behalf and texts or emails you the moment a cancellation lands, so you are not the one refreshing the page. Set an alert on any permit or campground you can reach from the links below, or search for it from the full permit directory.
