Havasupai opens today, Dinosaur River permits drop for Nov 18
What dropped this week
Havasupai Falls and Havasupai Lodge both opened up for 2026-10-20, so today's the day if you've been waiting on those. The Subway got two separate openings this week, for 2026-10-24 and 2026-10-27. Wingate Yurts and Wingate Hike-In at Dead Horse Point both loosened up for 2026-10-24 and 2026-10-25. Further out, Moenkopi Yurts opened for 2026-11-20, Kirk Creek Campground for 2026-11-04, Mt. Whitney Day for 2026-10-27, and Deer Canyon at Crystal Cove for 2026-11-09. On the river side, both Gates of Lodore and the Yampa picked up availability for 2026-11-18, so if Dinosaur National Monument has been on the list, that's worth a look.

Whitney Day (Sequoia & Kings Canyon), Havasupai Falls and Havasupai Lodge (Havasupai Indian Reservation), Fiery Furnace (Arches), St. Helens (Mount St. Helens), The Subway (Zion), Moenkopi Yurts (Dead Horse Point), and Kirk Creek (Los Padres National Forest). Worth checking these directly if any are on your trip list this month.
Lotteries opening/closing soon
The Wave lottery closes 2026-10-31 and the next entry window opens right after on 2026-11-01. If Vermilion Cliffs is on the calendar, get an entry in before the close date, then watch for the new window to open the next day.
