What to bring on Ozette Coast

Specific to this permit, not a generic camping list. One item is written into the permit rules, and every one of those carries the rule it comes from.

    An approved bear canister

    required on the entire coast, free to borrow at a Wilderness Information Center

    Permit rule: “All food, garbage and scented items must be stored in a park-approved bear canister along the entire Olympic wilderness coast”

    A current tide chart, available at visitor centers and coastal ranger stations

    A stove; open fires are prohibited through the Sand Point and Wedding Rocks stretch

    Rain gear, and dry bags for anything that must stay dry
