About Paha Campground
Overview
Paha Campground is located just 10 miles from Bridgeport, California, next to Robinson Creek at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The Twin Lakes area is close by, offering boating, fishing, hiking and horseback riding opportunities.
Reservations are non-transferable. Re-selling of reservations will render the reservation invalid. If you hold an invalid reservation, you will not be permitted to camp on the site.
Recreation
Robinson Creek offers good rainbow trout fishing and can be easily accessed from within the campground. Numerous hiking trails are in the vicinity, including the popular Robinson Creek Trail.
Facilities
The campground contains several single-family sites, one of which is ADA accessible, and there are two double sites and one furnished yurt. All sites are equipped with picnic tables, food storage lockers and campfire rings with grills. Flush toilets, drinking water and trash collection are provided. Firewood is available for purchase.
Robinson Creek South Campground is nearby, where educational programs are held at its amphitheater on weekends from July 4 through Labor Day.
Natural Features
The campground is situated alongside Robinson Creek, where a forest of massive Jeffrey pines towers over the site, offering partial shade. Lodgepole pines, sagebrush and summer wildflowers dot the landscape.
Nearby Attractions
Upper and Lower Twin Lakes are nearby, offering beautiful mountain scenery, boating, canoeing and fishing for Kokanee salmon and rainbow and brown trout. The rugged and scenic Hoover Wilderness Area can be accessed from the Twin Lakes area and offers additional trails for hiking and horseback riding.

Caution: black bears frequent the area; all food must be kept in approved containers. All ice chests must be stored out of sight.

Don't Move Firewood: Help prevent the spread of tree-killing pests in our national forests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
Reserved sites: will be held until checkout time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of the second day to hold the reservation, or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Please call the office at 760-932-7092 if you need to inform the campground of an arrival time greater than 24 hours after your arrival date, or if you will not use your reservation whatsoever.
Once your reservation start date has begun , neither Recreation.gov Contact center nor the Camp Host or Campground manager will be able to modify your reservation. If you no longer want the site, you have reserved you will need to cancel that reservation and pay at the campground for the site you desire. There is no exchange for sites.
Extra Vehicles: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site is included with your reservation. Most sites can accommodate One (1) extra vehicle that is NOT included with the reservation fee. An Extra vehicle fee will be required per day to be paid at the time of arrival at the campground. Extra vehicles must fit on the parking spur.
Pass Discounts: If you use a pass discount you must provide your pass and photo identification upon check in or upon Camp Host request. If you received a pass discount for which you weren't eligible you must pay the difference in price upon arrival.
Six (6) Person limit for single sites. There is a max of 6 people per campsite. If you exceed this number, purchase a second site and spread your group and equipment out evenly between campsites. This is to protect natural resources and minimize noise levels. Double sites have a 12-person max; Triple sites have an 18-person max.
Falling objects - don't linger under dead, cracked or broken branches. Run if you hear cracks or snapping from tree roots, trunks, or branches (know that sometimes there is no sound and very little time to react). Report falling branches and trees to a Ranger.
Generators may be used from 6a to 10pm; Quiet time in the campground is from 10pm to 6am.
Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions or red flag warnings. At which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. Please check with Camp host.
Fire Rings: Do not build additional fire rings. Glass, aluminum, and food are prohibited in fire rings. Logs must fit within the fire ring. Chainsaws are not allowed. Fires must be extinguished completely with water and be cool to the touch before leaving campsite or going to bed.
Pets must be on a leash and under the owners' control while in the campground. Owners are responsible for any damage the pet causes. Aggressive pets may be asked to leave the campground for campers' safety and enjoyment.
