How do I get a Havasupai permit for 2026?
All permits are sold by the Havasupai Tribe at havasupaireservations.com. The season's inventory goes on sale February 1 and typically sells out the same day. Every reservation is a fixed 3-night block priced per person.
Can I still get a Havasupai permit after they sell out?
Yes, through cancellations. Since 2026 the Tribe has no lottery and no transfer board — when someone cancels, their dates return directly to the public booking calendar. Cancellations appear year-round because cancelling is the only way to recover any refund value.
Is there a Havasupai lottery?
Not anymore. The presale lottery and the transfer board were both discontinued for 2026. Permits are first-come, first-served on February 1, and cancellation tracking is the only path in afterward.
How hard is the hike to Havasu Falls?
It is 10 miles each way from Hualapai Hilltop to the campground with about 2,400 feet of elevation change, through exposed desert with no water until Supai Village at mile 8. Summer hiking must start before dawn.
